Aldbourne - Marlborough Road (Wiltshire)

Richard wrote in April 2022 to say; "I notice on your website does not mention a very impressive sequoia in Aldbourne, Wiltshire. A beautiful tree, it forms a central landmark in the village. It is perhaps 50-60m tall, although that is just a guess. Perhaps the height can be judged from the house, which is perhaps 12m high (it's a rather high ceilinged Victorian pile)." The tree sounds particularly impressive judging by your estimation of its height. Perhaps anyone reading this, who has the equipment, might care to measure the tree and let us know. It's nice to know that it's a central landmark in the village, I wonder whether the person planting the tree all those years ago had hoped that this might be the case a century or so later.
