Giant Redwood - July 2020
Thanks to Steve for letting us know about these "two Redwood examples at my house in Rolleston on Dove, Staffordshire. The garden used to be part of the former Mosely family estate gardens (Rolleston Hall) in Rolleston, and my house has been here since the 1920's, but I'm assuming that these are from the 1850's onwards."

Yes, you're quite right to assume that your trees were planted no earlier than the 1850's since that's the time of their discovery and first appearance in the U.K.

Tom wrote in February 2024 with some additional information; "there are a number of redwoods on the former Rolleston hall grounds, in addition to the ones listed on your site."

Thanks Tom, if you or anybody else have any photographs of the additional trees I would be pleased to receive them.
