Androulla wrote, "I was on a walk with my son in a local open space and came across what I thought was a redwood but I can’t see it listed on your site. Is this a redwood?" Yes, as far as I can tell from the photograph it certainly looks like a Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), thank you for letting me know about it. I notice also that it has divided into two very close to the base.
