East Grinstead - Hector's Lane/Shovelstrode Lane (West Sussex)

Coast Redwood - September 2023

Thanks to Steve who sent these photographs and wrote to say; "We were walking through the woods between Hectors Lane and Shovelstrode Lane in East Grinstead, West Sussex. Here we stumbled across a micro coastal redwood forest with between 75 to 100 coastal redwoods. I really don't know who planted all these but going by their girth and sizes I would estimate them being 100-150 years old. Maybe in Victorian time this was part of a huge estate." What a great find Steve! Thank you for letting me know about this Coast Redwood grove.
