Giant Redwood - April 2019
Duane wrote in November 2018 to say "Carlton Hall which is set in 10 acres of grounds with over a 100 large trees, Oak, Pine, Ash, Chestnut, Cedar, Elm and a Beech over 220 years old but no Redwood. Over the next 2 months we are replanting trees in some areas I am very interested in planting a Redwood."

He wrote again in April 2019 with news that he had "planted out 6 Redwoods around the grounds of Carlton Hall and they look to be doing well plus recorded all heights when planted."

Duane sent an update in July 2019 "All the trees are doing very well and growing. The Coastal Redwood is amazing in how much it has grown since planting. I measured it at 0.8m in March, in July it stands at 1.7m. I have never see a tree grow so much, if it keep going it will be over 2 meters tall by the end of the summer."

It's good to hear that all your trees are doing well and growing. That's a pretty good rate of growth for the Coastal Redwood, you're obviously looking after it well. It was sown on the day my grandaughter was born in December 2017, I remember standing in my freezing cold greenhouse sowing the seeds!

Giant Redwood (517) - February 2020
Duane sent these photographs of the young Redwoods planted a year or so ago at Carlton Hall in early 2020, and he wrote to say; "all the redwoods in the last week have had more pine tree chip put around them ready for the spring."
Thanks Duane, they are all doing well and it appears that your Coastal Redwood surparsed your prediction of reaching 2 metres last year!

Giant Redwood - April 2021
Duane sent an update on the measurements in April 2021 and wrote;
"All the trees are doing very well, here are all the measurements before they start to grow again."
Thanks again Duane, it's good to keep track of the growth rate of the Redwoods.
